In the Footsteps of the Pacific Explorers

BNRA In person presentation in November 2024 James Walters, Chairman of the BNRA expanded on his voyage across the Pacific on the tall ship Bank Europa. Visits undertaken to islands such as Easter Island, Pitcairn, Mangareva, the Marquesas, Fakarava, Tahiti, Moorea, Taha'a, Bora Bora, Vavau, Tonga and Fiji. Following in the fooptsteps of Thomas Cochrane, James Cook, James Colnett, William Bligh, George Vancouver and Nathaniel Portlock, as well as the Dutch explorers, Able Tasman and Jacob Roggevens , the Spanish explorers Mendana and Malespina, and the French, with La Perouse and Bougainville.
