"BNRA: Nice people doing interesting things"

Steve R Dunn, Naval Author and Historian

"I find my BNRA membership to be a thoroughly rewarding experience. It is marvellous to be part of such a diverse group of people, united by a strong fascination for our maritime past. The company is always excellent and the sheer range of offerings by way of talks, visits, discussions about maritime artefacts, and expressions of this interest in art and model making means there is always something new for members"

Andrew Choong, Author of Armoured Cruiser Cressy

"I value and cherish the work and philosophy of the BNRA, which is a charmingly broad parish and community, committed to maintaining the golden thread of our maritime memory. It combines contributions from academics and seafarers about the big issues associated with maritime history with dedicated enthusiasts who keep alive the more obscure, but fascinating and equally vital aspects of our naval heritage. Its regular meetings and conferences are a treasure trove of newly discovered sights or previously neglected knowledge"

Rear-Admiral Chris Parry CBE, Forecaster, Broadcaster and Author

"The BRNA is an invaluable organisation that helps keep fresh our precious maritime heritage - not only for old sea salts like me, but more importantly, the new generations coming through. Our proud naval legacy needs to be celebrated down the ages, and the BRNA is always there to do it. Bravo Zulu!"

Chris Terrill, Television and Film Producer
