We have a really exciting meeting planned for the next monthly meeting.
We shall start with Alex Grover, from Royal Museum’s Greenwich. He is going to tell us all about the 1782 built 32 gun frigate HMS Hermione, famous for its mutiny in 1797 and its recapture by the crew of HMS Surprise in 1799.
This will be followed by our good friends from Boathouse 4 in Portsmouth, David Griffiths, and Martin Kelly, who will talk to us about their new book on the Thornycroft Coastal Motor Boats.
We are also going to have the opportunity for members to bring along models for display and to have the opportunity to join the competition for this years model award.
